The course provides a gentle introduction to the scientific computing environment and is intended for beginning users. It includes Introduction to Programming in MATLAB, but its lessons extend to any language you might want to learn. It also introduces design, statistical analysis, and decision making in research. Students will be introduced to and given opportunities to practice computer methods of computation (using SPSS statistical package and R).
